What Our Customers Say
How can LC Installations
Help you with New Build Installs?
Our installations are designed with longevity in mind
A lot of new homes these days don’t have plumbing systems fitted that are designed for longevity and speed is often prioritised over quality. We use either copper pipework or MLCP (multi-layer composite pipe) on all our new installations.
On small extensions or retro fit heating and hot water systems, where possible we will often use copper as it is still the best way to guarantee you will not have any issues in years to come with joints failing from O-rings going brittle and pipe/fitting wear and tear.
All systems are chemically flushed on completion, and we also offer a full power flushing service if the system contains a lot of sludge and debris

How To
Reduce Your
Energy Bill
- Install Energy-Efficient Heat Pumps: Upgrade to air source or ground source heat pumps, which efficiently transfer heat to warm your home in winter and cool it in summer, reducing energy usage and lowering your bills.
- Optimise Heating and Cooling: With the installation of heat pumps, complement this with a programmable thermostat to regulate temperature based on your schedule, and ensure proper insulation to minimise energy loss.
- Unplug Unused Devices: Many appliances draw power even when turned off. Unplug devices or use power strips to cut off electricity when not in use, further reducing your energy consumption.

Frequently Asked Questions
About New Build Projects
What size projects do we work on?
We work with many medium to large-scale building contractors and can quote for multiple housing plots.
The alloy lining also means its less likely to be damaged by rodents or any other potential sharp objects. The fittings used to make the connections are constructed from brass with an aluminium sheath that’s clamped onto the pipework with a crimping tool. This is a permanent jointing method that cannot be undone giving the fitter and customer piece of mind.
What heating system do you recommend?
For new builds, heat pumps are becoming increasingly popular due to their energy efficiency and environmental benefits. They extract heat from the air or ground, which can lower your carbon footprint and reduce energy bills. However, if space or budget are concerns, a modern, energy-efficient boiler might be a better fit. At LC Installations, we are qualified heating engineers and can help determine the best option based on your home’s size, insulation, and heating needs.
Are heat pumps more energy-efficient than new boilers for new builds?
Yes, heat pumps are generally more energy-efficient than traditional boilers, particularly in well-insulated new builds. Heat pumps can achieve up to 300-400% efficiency, meaning they generate three to four units of heat for every unit of electricity used. In contrast, modern condensing boilers reach around 90-95% efficiency. While heat pumps may have a higher upfront cost, the long-term savings on energy bills often make them a worthwhile investment.
How long does it take to install a heat pump in a new build home?
Installing a heat pump in a new build usually takes 3-5 days, depending on the size of the system and the layout of the property. The process involves setting up both the indoor and outdoor units, as well as any necessary pipework. Planning the installation during the construction phase ensures it integrates smoothly with the overall design and minimises delays.
Are new build homes suitable for heat pump installations?
Yes, new build homes are ideal for heat pump installations because they tend to be built to higher insulation standards, which enhances the efficiency of heat pumps. New builds also allow for easier integration of underfloor heating or larger radiators, which work well with heat pumps. Additionally, many new builds aim to be more eco-friendly, and heat pumps contribute significantly to reducing carbon emissions.
